Still in his late 20s, James Van Cooper has spent close to half of his life on the road, honing his craft as a seasoned guitarist and energetic live performer.
James has spent the last 13 years touring nationally playing guitar with the likes of some of Australia’s biggest names in rock and pop from Glenn Shorrock, Ross Wilson, Kate Ceberano, The Rogue Traders, Mi Sex, Tex Perkins, Sarah Mcleod and Nathan Cavaleri just to name a few.
James has a knack for writing catchy country tunes and leaving live audiences either in love with him or in awe of the energy and talent he exudes.
James has finished recording his new Country EP at Freight Train Studios, a studio owned by Jimmy Barnes in country NSW. The EP was Produced by Benjamin Rodgers and James is supported on the record by his band “The Jimmy’s” who also happen to be his best mates.
James is on a personal mission with his music and is ready to hit the road with his band and crank it up to eleven to as many rowdy party crowds as he can get to around Australia.
